CTS - Hey You ...

Hi there!

Hope you're having a pleasant day.

The sketch at Case This Sketch #232 was inspiration to play cards.  My rendition is a literal translation of the sketch.  The pattern was created using MFT yellow, green and orange dye inks and stamps (Distressed Patterns and Abstract Art).  A few 'splats' in black were added with one of the stamps from Distressed Patterns.  The sentiment was stamped slightly overlapping the pattern.

Muse - hey!

Hi Everyone!

A fun and bold abstract card by guest designer, Marci, is presented for our inspirations at Muse Challenge #226.  My rendition includes abstract panel, a few splatters (in black) and bold, colored sentiment. Stamps were a great asset to help me achieve the abstract background (I originally omitted this.) A couple paintings of clear WOS add the perfect shimmer to 'hey!.

Hope you're having a super day.  Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is having a great day.

A couple of fun challenges enticed me to play along ...

CASology - 5 year Anniversary - BALLOON blog hop

Less is More #338 - No Stamps

For my card, I chose light blue cardstock, a die-cut big white cloud, a die-cut 'mylar' (metallic DP) balloon with a number '5' embossed onto it and a die-cut sentiment for the balloon string.

MCV - Happy Holidays

Greetings!

Playing cards at Muse: ChristmasVisions 82 where Jessica provided a gorgeous inspiration. My rendition includes colors, flower, leaves, gold embellishments. The die-cut flower was created from a panel using tissue paper (repurposed from MFT packaging), distress inks, stamped/heat embossed with Versamark/clear EP. The foliage was created with distress inks and stamped/heat embossed with Versamark/clear EP.

Hope you're ahead on your holiday card making. Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

Today, I have a card for the Muse Challenge #225 where Kim Heggins is the designer this week. Kim provided a fun card with butterflies for our inspiration. My rendition includes butterflies, colors (mostly), twine, arch shape, sequins. A few clear sequins add sparkle. The butterflies were painted with clear WOS for shimmer.

CAS Mixup - Tic-Tac-Toe - CAS Watercolour - One in a Million

Hello All!

Hope everyone is having a pleasant day.

Today, I have a card for a couple of challenges:

CAS Mixup Card Challenge - use tissue paper, stamping and choice (dry and heat embossing, die-cut, water-color smooshing)

Tic Tac Toe - TTTC005 - my card includes pearls, die-cut, butterfly (middle across)

The butterfly was created by wrinkling a piece of pink tissue paper (repurposed from MFT packing) then gluing to a piece of cardstock. (I glue the tissue paper to the card stock first, because I was concerned that I would tear it when it was wet). When the glue was dry, the tissue paper panel was smooshed into Distress Inks sprayed with water. When dry, the smooshed panel was stamped with Versamark Ink/heat embossed with clear EP ... this process helped show the 'wrinkles' in the tissue paper. (Actually, this was a practice piece after watching Loll's video ... I liked the outcome so used it.) Then, the panel was die-cut with a butterfly die. A pierced square panel was used to stamp the sentiment to follow the curve of one of the butterfly wings. For additional interest, the pierced panel and butterfly were offset, three pink pearls were added to the butterfly, and three embossed score lines were added to the bottom of the card stock.

CAS Watercolour Challenge - Butterfly - also submitting to this challenge ... thank you, Bonnie.

Enjoyed the tissue paper process ... easy and straightforward ... will use it again.

Muse - Warm Wishes

Hello Paper Crafters!

Hope you're having an enjoyable day.  At the Muse Card Challenge #223 Anita provided a fantastic inspiration for our creativity with the most intricate butterfly. My card follows the general theme ... I used a black butterfly, bold/rich colors, abstract background inking.  I used colors in purple, red, yellow; butterfly that was stamped in black/heat embossed with clear EP. For some additional interest, a black and white striped strip with a very thin strip of silver glitter paper was added to one side of the panel.  A few clear sequins add some additional sparkle.

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge - A Special Delivery ...

Hello Everyone!

Today, made a card for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge ... use a moose.  The images were colored with Prismacolor pencils using mostly traditional Christmas colors.  A little shimmer was added to the mug, stripe on pants and pom pom on hat using clear WOS.  Sparkle was added with a very thin strip of silver glitter paper and clear sequins.  Some of the moose's attire was slightly altered using a white Gelly Roll pen.

Hope your day is enjoyable.  Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.
